... that I watch Top Gear episodes on Streetfire the day they come out. And a few weeks later watch the watered-down-for-america and commercialized version of the same episode on BBCA?

No. I'd watch it on iPlayer and BBCA if I got BBCA.

No, because I do it so that I won't get spoiled later on in the week.

I do the same thing. I always watch them on streetfire on sunday nights and I record the show on BBC America so I also get all the great old ones from like 10 years ago. I usually watch those with my dad and/or brother who don't quite share my level of enthusiasm, so it's a whole different experience.

I think I watched, like, three episodes years ago when they first started airing the Americanized version over here. Once I heard I was missing something, I hopped on FinalGear and SAW what I was missing, and NEVER watched it edited on BBCA again.

What does the BBCAmerica version change?

No, i do the same. Has anyone ever noticed how the music is different in the US edit?

I sometimes watch the edited versions on German TV as well. Over here, to add insult to injury, they are also very badly dubbed. But it's still better than a lot of other shit that's on TV.

All the time! On the UK version of the last episode of season 20, there was a Jimi Hendrix song. It had to be removed for the US version.

It adds in commercials at the sake of cutting footage and disrupting flow, it sensors many offensive jokes (like last season's supercar trip when they drew a cock and balls with their tires), it removes any good music (Jimi Hendrix, the Who, Led Zeppelin, etc) and replaces it with stock music, and when they go to replay they omit entire segments.
